The latest development from Bridgestone is the BATTLAX S21 HyperSport tire. It surpasses its predecessor, the S20, in three main parameters. There has been a significant increase in grip and maneuverability of the motorcycle in corners, both in dry and wet conditions. The rigidity of the tread has been increased for higher stability of the front wheel during braking phases and the rear wheel during acceleration. Higher mileage has been achieved by using a completely new compound, which has been optimized in terms of all physical properties for an even higher level of grip. Significant progress has been made at the molecular level to increase the overall performance of the compound, providing a larger micro-contact area. A smaller profile has improved the maneuverability and steering precision without losing the excellent neutral characteristics. A three-section compound with a high stiffness filler has been used for the front tire.
