Advantages of the Shido chargers for SHIDO DC 1.0:
Lithium batteries offer an excellent level of performance. In order to maintain this performance, they must be charged correctly. To meet this market need, we have developed our own Shido battery chargers that are suitable for motorcycles and motorsport applications. Shido dual battery chargers have a unique and optimized algorithm with which both lithium LiFePO4 and lead-acid batteries can be safely charged.
One of the most important points is that charging a deeply discharged lithium battery (<10 V) must be done very carefully, starting with a very low voltage and a very low current. Applying high voltage and amperage to discharged lithium batteries will result in premature battery failure. Chargers with a voltage exceeding 15 volts for a certain period of time can also seriously damage your lithium battery.
Shido dual chargers keep your battery charged even after the charging process is complete. The voltage is checked every 4 hours by the charger. If the battery voltage drops below 12.8 volts, the charger starts the charging process again. HS-Motorradteile can now recommend a charger for lithium and lead-acid batteries with complete confidence.
