The 3M Trizact abrasive disc is used for faster removal of deeper defects in the top layer of the paint. In some cases, repeated polishing alone cannot completely remove these significant defects; moreover, continuous machine polishing stresses the surrounding undamaged paint that is polished along with the defects. Therefore, it is more appropriate to gently sand the heavily damaged area first and then polish it using the standard procedure. The abrasive surface of the disc is attached to a foam backing, which ensures full sanding efficiency on flat surfaces. For use on contours and curved body lines, we recommend using the 3M foam pad, which provides better surface conformity and gentler work.
