The tire was developed with the main requirements of customers in mind, especially for optimal grip on slippery surfaces (such as tram rails, white road markings, contaminated surfaces). Michelin City Grip also guarantees neutral behavior and good motorcycle control, versatility for use in any weather conditions, therefore grip in wet and cold conditions, high resistance to damage in urban potholes, and longevity in terms of high mileage performance. This is the first scooter tire from Michelin with sipes. The tread structure is a direct response to customer requirements. Michelin PST sipe technology is used for maximum grip on wet and slippery surfaces. Increasing the share of negative tread (grooves and sipes) in the tire shoulder for optimal wet grip and high longevity. Variable tread depth for maximum mileage performance and regular wear. Compared to the Michelin Gold Standard tire, the new Michelin City Grip has a different construction design in the bead area.
