3M 02090 Trizact™ Hookit™ Sanding Disc P1000 Ø150 mm

3M™ 02090 Trizact™ Hookit™ P1000 Ø150 mm is a professional foam sanding disc designed for fine matting of transition surfaces and preparation of adjacent painted parts before spraying new paint.

The disc is mainly used for transition repairs of automotive paints, where it helps create an evenly matte surface without glossy spots. It is suitable for matting adjacent panels, unifying the orange peel texture, and softening fine sanding marks before subsequent painting.

The 3M™ Trizact™ technology uses precisely created three-dimensional abrasive structures. During use, new sharp abrasive particles are gradually revealed, allowing the disc to maintain a consistent and uniform sanding effect.

Grit P1000 creates a fine matte surface suitable for preparing parts before spraying or applying additional layers of the coating system. The disc is used wet with water, which limits abrasive clogging and achieves a more even result.

The flexible foam backing adapts well to flat and slightly curved surfaces, distributes pressure evenly, and allows better control over sanding. The 150 mm diameter is suitable for use with common random orbital sanders and backing pads of the same diameter.

The 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system with hook and loop fastener allows quick mounting, easy replacement, and reliable disc fastening during work.

Recommended use

Before use, thoroughly clean and degrease the surface. Attach the disc to a suitable backing pad with a diameter of 150 mm and lightly wet it with water during sanding. Work with even movements without excessive pressure and regularly check that the entire surface is evenly matted.

Warning: When sanding edges, embossments, and areas with a thinner paint layer, work carefully and with reduced pressure.
