COLOURLOCK Leather Wash Set is a professional combination of a fixative and a special washing concentrate. This set is designed to safely and effectively clean almost all types of leather and fur while preserving their natural softness and shape stability.

Detailed description

The set is ideal for cleaning garments made of smooth and suede leather, motorcycle suits, gloves, as well as sheepskins and furs.

• Leather Fixative is essential when washing multicolored items (e.g., combination of white and black leather) or when combining leather with textile, where lining discoloration may occur.

• Leather & Fur Wash Concentrate is a versatile product that can be used for hand washing as well as in the washing machine. When following the recommended temperature and procedure, the leather will not harden, shrink, and will remain flexible.

 Important warnings before washing

• Heavy soiling: Greasy areas (collar, cuffs) should be pre-soaked and gently cleaned with the brush and a little washing concentrate.

• Multicolored leather: Always use the Leather Fixative to prevent unwanted color transfer.

• Sorting: Never wash differently colored leather pieces together – wash only color-identical items.

• Changes after washing: Original signs of wear or fading may become more visible after cleaning. Some types of leather (poorly fixed colors or greasy surfaces) may slightly change appearance after washing.

• Sensitive materials: For exotic leathers, antiques, or very delicate furs, professional cleaning is recommended.

• Accessories: Loosely attached buttons or applications should be secured or washed by hand.

Instructions for use

1. Use of fixative (Leather Fixative)

Do not use the fixative in the washing machine, but in a separate container.

• Dosing: ½ bottle for approx. 5–10 l of lukewarm water (for smaller items); a full bottle for a complete motorcycle suit.

• Procedure: Fully immerse the leather piece, leave to act for at least 60 minutes and move it regularly. Then let it drip dry – do not rinse! – and immediately put it into the washing machine.

• Tip: Test colorfastness with a damp light cloth. If the cloth stains, using the fixative is essential.

2. Hand washing with concentrate

Suitable for smooth leather, suede leather (suede, nubuck), and furs. Not suitable for open-pored leather.

• Dosing: 1/3 to ½ bottle per 10–15 l of lukewarm water (max. 35 °C). For large items (coats, suits), use a full bottle.

• Procedure: Soak for about 30 minutes and wash gently. Use the included brush for stubborn stains. Finally, rinse briefly with clean water.

• Note: Do not rinse the product out completely – residues of the concentrate in the leather support its later suppleness.

3. Machine washing with concentrate

Suitable for "Wool" or "Delicate wash" programs (max. 35 °C).

• Dosing: 1/3 to ½ bottle into the main wash compartment (full bottle for large items).
